While driving somewhere else a week or so ago, I noticed the demolition of the old Walton &
Lonsberry factory had not only begun, but was almost finished. I didn't have time to stop by that day, so I went on my way, completely forgetting about it until last night. Once I remembered, I grabbed my camera and headed out around 3AM to see what, if anything, was left. Upon my arrival, the answer was almost nothing. The entire building had been taken down, and they were cleaning up the old lagoon where the factory was known to have dumped chemicals for years. The EPA apparently doesn't waste any time once they start a clean up project nowadays.
